Soprano singer Naomi Matsuda Born in Japan. Learned vocal music in Mannheim, Germany.
She won second prize won second prize (no first prize awarded) in the 11th Japan Classical Music Competition, first prize in the 2nd International Nagakute Opera Competition, and grand prize In the 9th Okiden Suger Hall New Artists’Concert Audition. Naomi Matsuda work with NHK (Japanese governmental broadcasting station) regularly and have performed a recital, which was broadcast on NHK FM-radio and TV.
She also appeared in NHK New Year Opera Concert conducted by Myung-Whun Chung, winning high acclaim for my exceptional technique and expression.
In 2005, She made opera debut as Michaela in Carmen conducted by Myung-Whun Chung
She was invited to sing at the Goethe Institute’s critically acclaimed 25th Anniversary Concert and opening concert of the internationally distinguished Schubertiade Festival in Austria in 2006.
Her appearances have included Mahler Symphony No.2 、Mendelssohn Elias, Micaela(Carmen), Adele(Die Fledermaus), conducted by Seiji Ozawa, Pamina(Die Zauberflote) conducted by Myung-Whun Chung, (Carmina Burana) New Japan Phil/Christian Arming, (Four Last Songs) Kanagawa Phil/Hanns-Martin Schneidt, (La clemenza di Tito)conducted by Hubert Soudant, concert(Lucia di Lamermoor)with Emmanuel Pahud, Mozart/Requiem with Wiener Singverein, Dvorak/Stabat Mater conducted by Hartmut Haenchen, She sang Madama Butterfly many times, and showed beautiful pianissimo and dramatic expression with Japanese traditional dance gained a great success.
